Cultivating the Ennobling Qualities of the Heart

The weekend will be a study/practice retreat on "Cultivating the Ennobling Qualities of the Heart - an exploration of the paramis (perfections) of Generosity, Ethics, Renunciation, Insight, Energy, Patience, Truthfulness, Resolution, Loving Kindness and Equanimity." This theme will be explored as a continuum over the weekend; participation in the full weekend is strongly encouraged.

Each day of this retreat begins at 9:00am and ends at 4:30pm. Refrigeration is available for bag lunches or you may purchase lunch at the Bastyr cafeteria. Please bring your own tea mug; tea is provided.

Volunteering: SIMS needs 10-15 volunteers to help at each event. If you are planning to attend and would like to help (with set up, clean up, tea service, sound system etc.) please see below.

If you are planning to attend the retreat and you are going to register online, please check the “I want to volunteer” box on the registration page. If you would like to volunteer with this event, but are going to register in person at the door (not online), please send an email to the registrar (registrar@seattleinsight.org) stating that you would like to help with this event.
